Unwanted hair is a problem for many of us. There are many treatments available such as shaving, waxing and depilatory creams but these only provide short-term solutions and are time consuming. Bio-Medical Concepts, with the aid of science and technology, have conceived a new Bio-Med hair removal treatment, using a combination of Laser and I.P.L. (Intense Pulsed Light) , for the progressive reduction of unwanted hair. This treatment is suitable for both ladies and gentlemen but does not work on light coloured hair.

How does it work?

This advanced and safe hair removal system works by emitting a controlled heat source to the hair, which is then selectively absorbed by the melanin in the hair. This then creates heat, which damages the growth and the follicle. After repeated treatments the subsequent damage to the hair follicle results in a significant reduction in the growing capacity, which, in turn, produces progressive hair reduction.

How many treatments will I need?

Many factors influence hair growth – age, ethnicity, weight, metabolism, medication and hormones all play a part as to where and when hair grows. Following your in-depth consultation and patch test, your Specialist will advise you of realistic expectations. Generally, 6 – 12 treatments are required.

Is it painful?

This effective treatment process, suitable for all areas of the body, is very safe and, gentle, non-invasive and requires no anaesthetic. Most people who experience the treatment feel nothing more than a light warmth or tingling sensation.
